Sprint legend Usain Bolt lit up the internet with a playful Instagram post that sent fans into a frenzy.

Sharing a video of himself on the track, the Jamaican icon cheekily asked, “Unnu think I still got it?” a tease that came as the athletics world turned its eyes to the   Diamond League stop in Oslo on Thursday night.

Within minutes, the comments section was flooded with messages from devoted fans across the globe, with many begging the eight-time Olympic gold medalist to lace up his spikes one more time.

@jay beily876: “Hear me out. Have a Master’s Race for the next Olympics Opening ceremony with the same line up as that 2012 100m finals🔥.”

@iamcamilledavis: “if you want it, its yours! 💯👌🏽.” @ nicklue: “Once a Legend always a Legend! 🙌.”

Jamaican musician Vybz Kartel could not hold; “Always Jamaica 💯.”

Now 38, Bolt last competed professionally in 2017 at the World Championships in London. Since retiring, he’s kept busy with business ventures, fatherhood, and the occasional foray into music and football. But his connection with fans and his passion for the sport clearly remains as electric as ever.

He is an eight-time Olympic gold medallist and the world record holder in the  100m, 200m and 4  × 100m relay

Usain Bolt is the only sprinter to win olympic 100m and 200m titles at three consecutive Olympics (2008, 2012, and 2016). He also won two 4 × 100 relay gold medals. He gained worldwide fame for his double sprint victory in world record times at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, which made him the first person to hold both records since fully automatic time  became mandatory.
