Reigning world 800m champion Mary Moraa has announced her return to the Diamond League circuit, confirming her participation in the Stockholm meeting on June 15.

Moraa began her season with a double appearance at the Grand Slam Track debut in Kingston, Jamaica. However, she finished eighth in the 800m with a time of 2:00.97. Mora also missed the 1500m due to unforeseen circumstances.

Moreover, the ambitious Moraa bounced back at the Athletics Kenya weekend meet by winning the 400m heats. Thus contributing to her team’s victory in the women’s 4x400m relay.

Continuing her campaign, Mary competed at the Grand Slam Track Miami, finishing eighth in the 1500m and winning the 800m. She then placed fifth in the 800m and seventh in the 1500m at the Grand Slam Track Philadelphia.

Despite these ups and downs, the Olympic 800m bronze medallist remains focused on her 2025 season`s goal.

Mary Moraa: Eyes on Stockholm and Beyond

Moraa shared on Facebook,

“Glad to announce that I will line up for my first Diamond League this season on June 15 in Stockholm, Sweden. Praying for good health and life,” wrote Moraa.

This event is crucial as she prepares to defend her 800m world title at the World Championships in Tokyo this September.
