Julien Alfred Reveals Her Trackside Beauty Essential

The prominent Saint-Lucian athlete, Julien Alfred has opened up about her favorite beauty essential before stepping onto the track for competition.

Ahead of her race at the Stockholm Diamond League, the 24-year-old Saint Lucian revealed also about her mindset and race goals.

“I’m a huge fan of Fenty,” Alfred said when asked about her favorite lip gloss. “I use that almost all the time. I carry it with me everywhere.”

It was a brief but memorable moment that lit up her personality. It showcased the blend of intensity and self-expression that makes Alfred one of the sport’s most relatable stars.

Fresh off a 10.89-second opener in Oslo, which ranked as the second-fastest time in the world at the time, Julien Alfred is taking a more grounded approach this season. Gone are the days of chasing times with pressure. Now, it’s all about execution and growth.

“I went back and spoke to my coach about it,” she said of her Oslo race. “He’s happy with it… I have no complaints. I’m not trying to think about times anymore. I was a bit hard on myself before. Now it’s just about taking it one race at a time.”

Not Yet ‘Settled’

She admits she’s still “a bit race rusty,” but that’s expected early in the season. Her focus is now on refining every phase of her race ,from the start to the finish.

Also making headlines in her Stockholm buildup was a private lunch with sprint legend Usain Bolt, organized by Puma. “It was just a regular lunch,” she said with a grin, keeping the details close. “It was me, a couple other Puma athletes, my agent… just before we came to Stockholm.”

Meanwhile, Julien, is set to line up on Sunday, June 15 alongside the ever-consistent Marie-Josée Ta Lou-Smith and Britain’s dynamic duo Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita in what promises to be thrilling.
