Gabby Thomas Ready to Challenge 400M Titans

Three-time Olympic Champion Gabby Thomas has agreed to rise to the occasion and challenge 400-meter stars.

Gabby Thomas will compete against seasoned 400m athletes Marileidy Paulino and Salwa Eid Naser, in the Grand Slam Track.

However, Gabby Thomas revealed to have had a tough time in deciding to whether join the 400 meters race.

“It was a hard decision to make I can do the short sprints or the long, and my coach and I sat down and we made decisions on which slams we would do,” Gabby Thomas told Citius Mag.

She has signed up to compete in the 200 meters and 400 meters, respectively, at the Grand Slam track. Gaby agreed that competing against 400m stars will be a tough challenge, but she is determined to break the record. In both the 2oom and 400 meters, the winner will take home $100,000.

“The 400m is a little bit more fun to run earlier in the season, but at the end of the day, it didn’t really matter.

“When I think about racing Salwa and Paulino, I think I’m really going to challenge myself; it’s going to be a hard race. I’m going to challenge myself, and I’m doing it against the best of the best.

“I’m welcoming that challenge, I’m accepting it, and hopefully, I rise to the occasion.”

On the 200-meter event, Gabby has expressed her determination in winning the event,

“I feel pretty confident in my speed and the 200m is my favorite event and I will definitely be the favorite just because it’s my main event.

“You have to kind of stretch yourself to make it work,” Gabby said.

She also expressed hope that the Grand Slam Track event will bear fruit.

Grand Slam Track is held in Kingston, Jamaica from April 4 to 6 before moving to Miami, then Philadelphia and Los Angeles.

All athletes will meet four times in the event.
