Africa`s fastest man, Ferdinand Omanyala, is poised to significantly increase his earnings, having recently secured a four-year endorsement deal with an Italian tech firm.

Tecars’ deal with Ferdinand Omanyala is approximately $77,301.40. This partnership extends his growing portfolio of endorsements, which already includes notable brands such as CFAO Motors Kenya, Visa, and Adidas.

Moreover, Tecar’s collaboration with Omanyala aims to enhance his performance through advanced recovery methods, particularly beneficial after extensive travel. The technology employs electromagnetism to stimulate muscles and the neuromuscular system.

This helps in reducing jet lag and optimising athletic readiness. Meanwhile, Ferdinand  Omanyala and his team will use the recovery machine throughout his travels, up to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The device, customised for Omanyala after three days of consultation with experts, reportedly costs €50,000 (Ksh7.4 million).

In 2024, Ferdinand Omanyala revealed his earnings allowed him to invest in a seven-bedroom mansion in Ruiru, Kiambu County, estimated at Ksh50 million. Additionally, he owns high-end cars worth Ksh43 million, including a Mercedes E-Class, a Toyota Harrier, and a Toyota Prado Adventure Plus J250.

Despite securing this lucrative deal, Ferdinand Omanyala seeks to improve his performance this season. Particularly after narrowly missing a sub-10-second time at the Rome Diamond League, where he clocked 10.01 seconds.

He finished third in that race, behind Trayvon Bromell and Emmanuel Eseme, who recorded times of 9.84 and 9.99, respectively. Omanyala’s personal best remains at 9.77 seconds, set at the Kip Keino Classic.

The Tecars endorsement deal now adds to Omanyala’s rich list of endorsements. The African sprint sensation has endorsement deals with Absa Bank Kenya, Tusker, and Oppo Kenya.

In 2022, Ferdinand Omanyala signed a three-year deal with Adidas, including a possible one-year extension based on his performance. This deal covers travel expenses, accommodation, and bonuses for gold medals and record-breaking achievements.
