Greece’s Elina Tzengko continued her sensational run of form this season with a commanding performance in the women’s javelin at the Rabat Diamond League.

Tzengko, who has been virtually unstoppable this year, took the early lead in the competition and never looked back. Her third-round effort of 64.60m proved unassailable, securing her a third Diamond League victory of the season and further cementing her status as one of the leading figures in the discipline.

Serbia’s Adriana Vilagos made notable improvements in her final throws, with a best of 63.25m to claim second place, while Latvia’s Anete Sietina secured third with a respectable 60.19m. Both athletes pushed hard in the closing stages, but Tzengko’s early dominance left them chasing.

The competition also featured a strong field, including Olympic silver medallist Jo-An van Dyk, world silver medallist Flor Denis Ruiz Hurtado, and Polish record-holder Maria Andrejczyk. Ruiz managed a best of 59.67m for fourth place, narrowly ahead of van Dyk, who registered 59.25m. Andrejczyk, still working her way back to top form, finished sixth with a 57.26m effort.

Rounding off the standings were Mackenzie Little with a throw of 56.90m, Yulenmis Aguilar at 56.37m, and Victoria Hudson, who recorded a best of 54.60m.

As the Diamond League season progresses, all eyes will remain on Elina Tzengko, who is rapidly establishing herself as the woman to beat in 2025. With three wins already under her belt, the Greek star looks well on course to secure overall Diamond League glory this year.
