Cuba’s Reynier Mena continued his red-hot form with a stunning season’s best of 20.05 seconds to win the men’s 200m at the Stockholm Diamond League.
The 29-year-old powered through the bend and held off a strong field down the home straight, claiming his second Diamond League victory in just four days. However ,Aaron Brown from Canada was disqualified for false start.

Mena had clocked 20.20 in Oslo last week defeating Mumenithaler Timothé of Switzerland. Mena hopes to be representing Portugal in international competition very soon. Liberia Fahnbulleh Joseph showed some quite improvement over his last meet in Oslo. The Liberian clocked 20.44 in Oslo but he had to settle behind Mena in Stockholm.
American rising sprint star Kyree King showed a big step in Stockholm. Despite finishing as the last one in Oslo last Thursday, King showed some quite good performance in Stockholm. A podium finish was something to smile about.
Meanwhile, Canadian sprinter Aaron Brown was disqualified for a false start. This was his third meeting this season. Last week in Oslo, Brown crossed the finish linein 20.65 finishing sixth. According to World Athletics rule TR16.8 mandates disqualification for any false start in major meets.
