Australian middle-distance star Linden Hall delivered a memorable performance at the Stockholm Diamond League on Saturday evening, storming to victory in the women’s 3000m race with a personal best time of 8:30.01.
The 3000m final saw Uganda’s Sarah Chelangat clinch second place, setting a new National Record of 8:31.27, while Great Britain’s 18-year-old sensation Innes Fitzgerald grabbed third with a personal best of 8:32.90.
Linden Hall, who has enjoyed an illustrious career over the years, including a sixth-place finish at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in the 1500m and multiple national titles, showed impressive endurance and tactical poise to outlast a competitive field at the iconic Olympic Stadium in Stockholm. This marks another historic milestone for Linden Hall, who in 2023 set a new Oceanian 1500m record of 3:56.92 at the Prefontaine Classic.
