Diamond League Boosts Prize Money for Key Events in Eugene, Monaco & London meetings

The Wanda Diamond League has announced an increase in prize money for selected disciplines at its 2025 meetings in Eugene, Monaco, and London.

Under a new prize structure introduced for the 2025 series, each meeting will designate four “Diamond+ Disciplines” — two for men and two for women — which will feature elevated prize money. The maximum payout for individual athletes in these events will double, rising from $10,000 to $20,000.

Diamond+ Disciplines Announced

Organizers of the July meetings have confirmed which disciplines will receive the enhanced payouts:

The Wanda Diamond League will reveal the Diamond+ Disciplines for upcoming meetings in the coming weeks.

Record Prize Money in 2025

In total, the 2025 Wanda Diamond League season will see a record prize pot of $9.24 million, marking the highest payout in the history. Organizers have also emphasized that all prize money remains entirely gender-equal.

The Wanda Diamond League is the elite one-day meeting series in global athletics. It comprises 15 of the most prestigious events in global track and field. Athletes accumulate points across 14 series meetings, aiming to qualify for the two-day Wanda Diamond League Final, set for August 27–28, 2025, in Zurich.
