Olympic silver medalist Fred Kerley has spoken out following a turbulent start to his 2025 track season. The former world champion has found himself under scrutiny after a series of disappointing performances on the Grand Slam Track circuit.

However, Kerley has broken his silence in defiant fashion.  In a defiant Instagram post that quickly went viral, Kerley made his stance clear.

“Hate it or love it, I’m here, 3 decades deep, and many more to come.”

The 2025 sprint season is shaping up to be one of the most competitive in recent memory, with Noah Lyles and Kishane Thompson emerging as the new faces of the sport. Yet, Kerley’s experience, combined with his proven ability to deliver under pressure, keeps him in the conversation.
