Teen sprint sensation Gout Gout will make his highly anticipated debut at a Wanda Diamond League meeting when he competes in Monaco on July 11.

At just 17 years old, the Australian sprint prodigy has already made headlines around the world with a string of record-breaking performances. Gout stunned athletics fans in December 2024 when he clocked 20.04 seconds in the 200m at the Australian All-Schools Championships, shattering the Oceanian record and breaking the world age-16 best previously held by sprint legend Usain Bolt.

In April 2025, Gout made history again, storming to an astonishing 19.84 seconds to claim the Australian senior 200m title. The performance made him the second-fastest under-20 athlete in history, behind only American Erriyon Knighton.

Now, Gout will take a significant step onto the international stage, competing in an U23 200m pre-programme race at the Herculis EBS Monaco meeting. The race will serve as an important milestone in his rapidly growing career.

The Wanda Diamond League is the premier one-day meeting series in global athletics, featuring 15 prestigious events where athletes accumulate points across the season in hopes of qualifying for the two-day final in Zurich on 27 and 28 August 2025.

Fans around the world will eagerly watch as Gout Gout makes his next stride toward greatness on track’s grandest stage.
