Beatrice Chebet, Kenya’s celebrated long-distance runner, will compete in the 3000m race at the 2025 Rabat Diamond League on May 25. Chebet, who won the women’s 5000m at the 2025 Xiamen Diamond League on April 26, outkicked Ethiopia’s Gudaf Tsegay in the final 200 meters to secure a decisive victory.

Beatrice Chebet, who also won double gold in the 5000m and 10,000m at the 2024 Paris Olympics and holds multiple world records, looks to build momentum for the upcoming World Championships in Tokyo.

The Rabat Diamond League attracts the world’s best athletes, and Chebet will face strong competition in the 3000m event. Among her key rivals are Faith Kipyegon of Kenya. Other notable competitors expected to challenge Chebet include rising stars from Ethiopia and Europe who have posted impressive times in middle- and long-distance events this season.

The race will take place at the Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat, Morocco, a venue known for fast times and enthusiastic crowds. The Diamond League series serves as a critical platform for athletes to test their form against top rivals ahead of major championships.

Beatrice Chebet recent performances have been outstanding. She broke the 10,000m world record in 2024 and set a mixed 5km road race world record later that year. Her strong teamwork and disciplined training in Kenya have helped her maintain peak fitness.

Chebet also holds back-to-back World Cross Country Championships titles for 2023 and 2024.
