Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan, the 2022 world champion and world record holder (12.12), claimed silver in 12.29, while American Grace Stark took bronze in 12.34. Olympic champion Masai Russell fell short of the podium, finishing fourth in 12.44, while Jamaica’s two-time world champion Danielle Williams could only manage seventh place.

For Amusan, the race denied her a chance to reclaim the title but brought Nigeria its first medal of these championships.
