A stellar mix of Olympians, national champions, and rising prospects are slated to headline the 2025 edition of the Sound Running Sunset Tour, scheduled for Saturday, July 12 at Jack Kemp Stadium in Los Angeles.

Raevyn Rogers, a bronze medalist in the 800 meters at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and 2019 World Championships silver medalist, leads a strong field in the women’s events.

Known for her dramatic late surges and tactical brilliance, Rogers brings star power and big-race pedigree to the Sunset Tour. She also won gold with Team USA’s 4x400m relay at the 2018 World Indoor Championships.

She’ll be joined by Alicia Monson, one of the top distance runners in the U.S., who continues to be a force in the 10,000 meters with consistent performances at the highest level.

Also confirmed is former high school phenom and four-time NCAA champion Katelyn Tuohy, now making her mark in the professional ranks. The 2018 Track & Field News High School Girls Athlete of the Year and five-time Gatorade Player of the Year is expected to be a key contender in the distance events.

Adding to the excitement is Nikki Hiltz, a 1500m World Championship finalist known for their closing speed and  tactical intelligence.

On the men’s side, Hobbs Kessler and Drew Hunter headline the middle-distance entries. Kessler, who set a North American U20 record in the 1500m with 3:34.36 in 2021, remains one of the most closely watched young athletes in the sport. He briefly held the road mile world record after winning the 2023 World Road Running Championships, before it was surpassed earlier this year.

Hunter, a veteran of the American mile scene, brings experience and consistency, while Festus Lagat, a former NCAA standout, adds firepower to a deep men’s 1500m field.

Confirmed Athletes

The meet will also feature a strong supporting cast including Emily Infeld, Karissa Schweizer, Sam Parsons, Abdi Nur, Isaac Updike, Morgan Beadlescomb, Dylan Jacobs, Olivia Markezich, and Shane Cohen. On the international front, Sarah Chelangat of Uganda and Aynadis Mebratu of Ethiopia are also listed among the notable entries.

Organized by Sound Running in partnership with Brooks, the Sunset Tour is known for its athlete-centered environment, ideal race conditions, and a reputation for fast times.
