Pole vault world record holder Mondo Duplantis is set to make a high-profile return to the London Athletics Meet in July as he targets a sixth successive Wanda Diamond League title in 2026.
The Swedish superstar will headline the men’s pole vault on July 18, marking his first competition at the London Stadium since 2018, when at just 18 years old, he finished third behind Sam Kendricks and Renaud Lavillenie. Eight years later, Duplantis returns as a global athletics icon and one of the most dominant figures the sport has ever seen.
Duplantis has since evolved from a promising teenager into a generational talent, repeatedly pushing the limits of the pole vault. He has broken the world record 14 times since 2020, most recently clearing 6.30m at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
