World record holder Tobi Amusan eased into the semi-finals of the women’s 100m hurdles at the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, after putting up a commanding performance in her opening heat on Sunday.
The Nigerian star clocked 12.53 seconds to finish first in her race, comfortably booking an automatic qualification spot. Bahamas’ Devynne Charlton followed in 12.69, with Italy’s Elena Carraro coming in third in 12.86.
