Gudaf Tsegay produced a blistering display to win the women’s 1500m at the Silesia Diamond League on Saturday, storming away from the field to clock a new meeting record of 3:50.62.
The Ethiopian star, who had been outclassed by Beatrice Chebet in their previous encounters this season, ran a tactically perfect race, staying with the leading pack in the opening lap before launching a decisive surge on the second.
