Dutch sensation Femke Bol and Kenya’s Emmanuel Wanyonyi are among the headline names confirmed for the 2025 Wanda Diamond League Final, set for August 27-28 in Zurich.
The prestigious Weltklasse meet is expected to deliver a thrilling finale to the season, with reigning champions eager to extend their dominance on the track.
Queen of the 400m hurdles Bol, is eyeing her fifth consecutive Diamond League title. Unbeaten since 2021, she has strung together a remarkable 28-race winning streak and heads into the Zurich final with four victories this season. Her performances have been nothing short of electric, with record-breaking runs in Monaco, Stockholm, and Rabat reinforcing her status as the athlete to beat.
Kenya’s middle-distance prodigy Wanyonyi, returns to defend his men’s 800m crown for a third consecutive year. Since breaking onto the scene, the 20-year-old has consistently delivered in one of the most competitive events in athletics. With just four losses in 16 Diamond League races since 2022, Wanyonyi is poised to solidify his place among the event’s modern greats.
But the excitement in Zurich won’t be limited to the track. The women’s and men’s discus events promise intense showdowns. American star and two-time Olympic champion Valarie Allman is chasing a fifth straight Diamond League title. She faces tough opposition from world champion Laulauga Tausaga and six-time series winner Sandra Elkasevic.
