Diamond League Unveils 2025 Prize Money Boost for Eight Events at Zürich Finale

The Wanda Diamond League is dialing up the stakes for its 2025 season, announcing a significant prize money increase for select events at its highly anticipated Final in Zürich.

According to the newly introduced prize money structure, eight of the 32 Diamond Disciplines will receive enhanced financial rewards at the season-ending showdown at Weltklasse Zürich on August 27–28.

In a move aimed at recognizing standout events and elevating competition, the Wanda Diamond League has classified eight disciplines as “Diamond+ Disciplines”.

These events will now offer higher prize purses for their finalists, with the winner’s cheque jumping from USD 30,000 to USD 50,000, a substantial incentive for the world’s elite athletes.

The Wanda Diamond League remains the pinnacle of one-day athletics meetings worldwide, featuring 15 prestigious events where athletes accumulate points across 14 series meetings to qualify for the season finale in Zürich.
