Olympic pole vault champion Katie Moon had a playful moment after spotting something surprising on her own Wikipedia page.
In an Instagram story, the American star posted a screenshot of her profile. She highlighted a curious addition that read: “Katie Moon also has a fierce bob.” Her reaction? A dry, amused caption: “Just trying to keep up with my Wikipedia.”
The mention of a “fierce bob” likely refers to Moon’s signature chin-length haircut a clean, bold style that complements her confident personality both on and off the track.
Moon’s latest competition which was at Meeting de Paris, the eighth stop of the 2025 Wanda Diamond League, she claimed her second Diamond League victory of the season. She cleared 15-6.25 (4.73m) on her second attempt, narrowly beating longtime friend and fellow American Sandi Morris in a thrilling showdown at Stade Charléty.
She is third placed in the Diamond League standings with 23 points, just five behind Morris as the season moves into its final stages.
Moon’s Diamond League campaign this year has been impressive. In addition to her victory in Paris, she also won in Doha with a 4.80m season opener, and secured a narrow runner-up finish in Florence, clearing 4.81m in a tight battle with Finland’s Wilma Murto.
Katie Moon won gold at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She backed that up with world titles in Eugene (2022) and Budapest (2023). She claimed silver at the 2022 World Indoor Championships in Belgrade.
Also, Moon added an Olympic silver medal at the 2024 Paris Games. This showcases her longevity and dominance across multiple seasons.
