The anticipation for the 2025 Wanda Diamond League continues to build, with Lausanne’s Athletissima meeting becoming the latest event to officially sell out, weeks ahead of schedule.
Organizers confirmed that the iconic Stade de la Pontaise will be packed to its full capacity of 13,500 spectators on August 20, as fans gather to watch the world’s best athletes battle for crucial points in the race to qualify for this year’s series final.
Athletissima joins a growing list of Diamond League meetings drawing record-breaking crowds this season. Earlier in the year, tickets for the main day of the Wanda Diamond League Final in Zurich’s Weltklasse sold out in just 48 hours. Meanwhile, the London Stadium is expected to host a sell-out crowd of 60,000 for its British leg of the series next month.
The Wanda Diamond League, the world’s premier one-day athletics series, features 15 top-tier events across the season. Athletes collect points at each of the 14 series meetings in hopes of securing a spot in the highly anticipated two-day Diamond League Final, scheduled for August 27–28 in Zurich.
The Prefontaine Classic in Eugene takes place on July 5, promising packed stands and world-class performances as the season intensifies.
