Sha’Carri Richardson Channels Cardi B Energy While Drawing Inspiration From Hit Track

The reigning 100m world champion, Sha’Carri Richardson recently gave fans a peek into her mood as she ramps up for the 2025 season.

In an Instagram story, the American sprint queen shared a screenshot of Cardi B’s fiery track “Outside,” alongside the caption: “Yes ma’am!!!!”

Meanwhile, Cardi B’s track is all about confidence and claiming space. On Friday, June 20, the rapper released her first single of 2025 with “Outside” after debuting it at a Spotify event in Cannes two days prior.

Since bursting into the spotlight in 2020 with a dominant U.S. Olympic Trials win, Sha’Carri’s journey has been anything but ordinary.

While a suspension kept her from competing in Tokyo, she’s since rewritten the narrative, capturing two World Championship titles and adding Olympic medals to her growing legacy.

But, Sha’Carri Richardson isn’t just a force on the track. Her presence extends well beyond athletics. This is through her colorful wigs, standout fashion, and also unfiltered social media posts. The 25-year-old continues to set her own rules.

After her underwhelming 2025 season debut at the Seiko Golden Grand Prix in Tokyo on May 18, where she  struggled to a fourth-place finish in 11.47 seconds, The American sprint Sensation is set to feature in the Nike Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon, on July 5.
