Chepchirchir’s Paris triumph continues a stellar campaign for the 22-year-old. She opened her Diamond League season with a composed 4:05.00 win in Doha, leading a Kenyan 1-2 alongside Susan Ejore.

She later claimed a non-Diamond Discipline 1500m in Rabat with 3:58.04, also testing herself in the 800m as part of her dual-event strategy this season. With 16 points from her Doha and Paris victories, Chepchirchir now tops the women’s 1500m Diamond League standings and is firmly on course for a spot in the Zurich Final.

Meanwhile, Healy who secured her first Diamond League victory in the 1500m in Rome by running 3:59.17 in a tactical race at the Stadio Olimpico by outkicking Australia’s Sarah Billings (3:59.24) produced a season best of 3:57.15.

Moreover, Olympic and world indoor bronze medallist Georgia Hunter Bell, fresh off an impressive 800m win over Mary Moraa in Stockholm, had to settle for sixth in Paris in 3:58.06.
