Olympic champion Noah Lyles is taking a heartfelt step beyond the track with a new venture dedicated to one of the most important people in his life, his mother.
In an exclusive interview with Sports Business Journal on June 18, 2025, Noah Lyles revealed plans to create a TV show centered around his mom, Keisha Caine Bishop, offering fans an intimate glimpse into the often unseen lives of the parents behind elite athletes.
“We’re here to tell the story that all the kids want to hear about,” Noah Lyles shared.
“You know the athlete, but what about the parents? Where are they in all this?”
His idea, still in development, could take shape as a reality TV series or a short-form podcast, expanding beyond conventional sports storytelling to highlight the powerful role of family.
The interviewer playfully suggested that Mumma Lyles might be angling for a show of her own, to which Noah affectionately responded.
“I’m angling for her.”
A Mother’s Legacy in Track and in Life
Keisha Caine Bishop isn’t new to the track world herself. A former standout athlete at Seton Hall University, she claimed nine NCAA All-American honors, two national titles in the 4×400 m relay, and was named the 1995 Big East Championship Most Outstanding Performer. Now, her story, not just as a former athlete, but as a mother, mentor, and manager — is set to inspire audiences in a whole new way.
For Noah, his mother has been more than just a parent. She’s been his emotional anchor, manager, advocate, and constant source of strength through personal and professional challenges. From navigating Noah’s battles with asthma, ADHD, and depression, to standing by his side as he became a global sprinting sensation, Keisha has been an unwavering pillar.
“My mom is a hard worker,” Noah once told NBC.
“I remember her saying constantly, ‘I don’t care what the job is; as long as I’m able to make money for my family, I’ll do the job. And I will do it to the best of my ability.’”
More Than a Mom
Keisha’s role in Noah’s life extends far beyond motherhood. Often dubbed ‘Noah’s momager’, she has overseen career logistics, public relations, and mental health support, assembling a trusted team around her son and advocating for his well-being.
She’s been there through the highest victories and toughest nights, once staying up through countless evenings holding a young Noah upright so he could breathe during asthma attacks.
“I’m always asked who my inspiration is,” Noah has said.
“And the answer is always my mom.”
Through this upcoming production, Noah Lyles hopes to give viewers a rare look into the untold stories of athletic parents, starting with his own.
