Double Olympic champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen has launched a new running initiative called the Spring Run Club, joining forces with his brothers and fellow Norwegian athletes to create a global community for running enthusiasts.
The club, unveiled on Wednesday, includes middle-distance runners Henrik and Filip Ingebrigtsen,Jakob’s elder brothers as well as Olympian Karoline Bjerkeli Grøvdal and former cross-country skier Marthe Kristoffersen.
With Spring Run Club, Ingebrigtsen aims to go beyond the typical running group experience. The project promises to focus on the “craft and science of running.” It will offer members access to workouts, training advice, and insights into the daily lives of elite athletes.

“We want to share our knowledge and help grow a global running movement for everyone who loves the sport,” said Jakob Ingebrigtsen in a statement. “While we’ve received strong support from both our national federation and local clubs, what’s been missing is a global community truly dedicated to running. That’s what we’re building now.”

The initiative has also secured a partnership with Norwegian omega-3 company Smartfish Sports Nutrition AS. Both the Ingebrigtsen brothers and the Spring Run Club are now shareholders in the company. It has pledged at least 30 million Norwegian crowns (around $2.97 million) in operational funding to help support the club’s development.

Ingebrigtsen`s Injury
Meanwhile, Ingebrigtsen in his YouTube channel said that he doesn’t have a fixed date for a return to competition ahead of September’s world championships in Tokyo.
“The injury itself is not that critical. But if you’re not cautious and don’t take it that seriously, it can develop to be something serious. And of course, I’m not interested in that.
He picked up an Achilles tendon injury. This is after claiming a rare world indoor double over 1,500m and 3,000m in Nanjing earlier this year.
