In a thrilling showdown at the 2025 Grand Slam Track (GST) Philadelphia meet, Olympic 100m bronze medalist Melissa Jefferson-Wooden delivered a standout performance in the women’s 200 meters.
Clocking a personal best of 21.99 seconds, Jefferson-Wooden edged out Olympic 200m gold medalist Gabby Thomas. Gabby finished in 22.10 seconds.
The race was a testament to Jefferson-Wooden’s explosive start. She sustained speed, gained an early lead and maintained it throughout the race.
Her training in Central Florida, alongside Olympic 100m silver medalist Sha’Carri Richardson, has evidently contributed to her prowess in both the 100m and 200m events.
