Britt edged out world leader Cordell Tinch. Tinch finished second in 13.10 seconds, and 2022 world silver medalist Trey Cunningham, came in third with a time of 13.18 seconds.
Olympic silver medalist Daniel Roberts was also in the mix. He could only manage a fourth-place finish in 13.30 seconds, as Britt’s explosive run reshaped the race’s anticipated outcome.
The victory not only earns Britt valuable points in the Grand Slam standings. It strengthens chances of claiming the overall Slam title, which comes with a lucrative $100,000 prize.
If he can replicate his 10.20-second 100m time from the Miami leg of the series, Britt could emerge as a top contender. The next event in the series includes the 1500 meters, where athletes like Josh Hoey are expected to challenge for the lead.
