American sprint sensation Tia Jones is marking a significant personal milestone as she prepares to sell her first home, a property she purchased shortly after navigating one of the most challenging moments in her athletic career.
The world indoor 60m hurdles record holder shared the update on Instagram. She showed a two-story gray house with a covered porch. In the reflection of the glass front door, she’s seen smiling and holding up a peace sign. The caption read:
“Bought this house at 21… and now it’s under contract. Can’t thank God enough for how far He’s brought me.”

The rise of Jones
Jones, who rose to fame as a teenage prodigy after equaling the world junior record in the 100m hurdles at just 15, has faced both triumph and setbacks in her journey. After enduring a torn Achilles in 2021 and later an ACL injury in 2024, she missed out on making the U.S. Olympic team for Paris. Instead of dwelling on the disappointment, she focused on new beginnings—including investing in a home.
The house was purchased last year with her then-boyfriend, NFL wide receiver Xavier Worthy, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. The couple publicly celebrated the move on social media, calling it a “great blessing” and encouraging fans to follow their YouTube channel for more on their life together.
However, their relationship later ended amid a public fallout involving legal proceedings. Both parties filed restraining orders following a domestic dispute, and while Worthy was arrested, the charges were eventually dropped. The former couple is currently engaged in civil litigation.
Despite the personal turbulence, Tia Jones has stayed focused on rebuilding. Selling the home marks more than just a real estate transaction. It represents a transition, a shedding of the past, and a renewed outlook.
As she moves forward, Jones continues to inspire many with her resilience, faith, and determination. The qualities that define both her athletic journey and personal evolution.
