Noah Lyles is gearing up for another electrifying performance this summer. Bringing his world-class sprinting talent back to one of his favourite tracks. Though he will face stiff competition from Letsile Tebogo, Akani Simbine, Ackeem Blake, Zharnel Hughes, Louie Hinchliffe, and Jeremiah Azu.

Meanwhile, Lyles, the reigning Olympic and triple world champion, will headline the men’s 100m at the London Athletics Meet on Saturday, July 19, 2025. The US sprint superstar, who clinched triple gold in Budapest 2023 over 100m, 200m, and the 4x100m relay, aims to build momentum on his road to defending his world titles in Tokyo this September.

Noah Lyles’ Victory Despite COVID-19

Noah Lyles, 27, stunned the world at the 2024 Paris Olympics by winning 100m gold with a lifetime best of 9.79 seconds, ranking him as the 12th fastest man in history. Despite battling COVID, he still earned bronze in the 200m, showcasing his resilience and championship pedigree.

London holds a special place in Lyles’ career. He recorded a then-personal best 9.81 seconds there, capturing victory in a fiercely competitive 100m race.

“My road to defending my world titles in Tokyo goes through London,” Lyles said. “I’ve had great experiences there the last two years, running some of my fastest times, and I look forward to another in July. See you there!”

Noah Lyles kicked off his 2025 season in April at the Tom Jones Memorial in Florida, setting a 400m personal best of 45.87 seconds, signalling his versatility and fitness.

The London Athletics Meet, part of the prestigious Wanda Diamond League series, is the world’s biggest one-day athletics event and will feature top global stars competing for a share of a record $9.24 million prize pool.

With fewer than 100 tickets remaining and demand soaring, fans are urged to secure their seats quickly to witness one of track and field’s brightest stars in action. Lyles’ presence promises a thrilling showdown as he aims to continue his dominance and chase sub-9.80 times in the 100m this season.
