Nathaniel Ezekiel has continued to improve remarkably this season, reflecting his quality training program. His blazing run has continued to send a candid message to his competitors, heading into the Big 12 Championships. Moreover, his technical prowess and speed between hurdles have also improved. Nathaniel Ezekiel boasts of a personal best of 47.90, which places him among the elite collegiate hurdlers in history, joining the ranks of NCAA legends.

At the Big 12 Championships, Nathaniel Ezekiel delivered a sensational performance, clocking a personal best of 47.90 seconds in the 400m hurdles preliminaries. This time, not only shattered his Nigerian national record but also catapulted himself to seventh place on the all-time collegiate list. Marking a historic milestone in his rapidly growing career.

Meanwhile, Ezekiel’s blazing run set a new meet record and sent a clear message to the competition ahead of the finals.

Nathaniel Ezekiel’s Impressive Career

Nathaniel Ezekiel has built an impressive track and field career specialising in the 400m hurdles and 400m sprint. He broke Nigeria’s 400m hurdles record in 2022 with a time of 48.42 seconds, later improving it to 48.00 seconds.

He is a multiple NCAA and Big 12 champion, earning All-American honours and setting program records at Baylor University. In 2025, he made history by breaking the African indoor 400m record twice, running 44.74 seconds.  Which ranks him eighth on the world indoor all-time list.

Nathaniel Ezekiel also reached the semifinals at the 2024 Olympics and 2023 World Championships, showcasing his elite global competitiveness.

Although his performance indicates a promising future with the potential to make an impact internationally, all eyes will be on Ezekiel as he prepares for the Big 12 finals and looks ahead to the NCAA Championships.
