‎Jamaican triple jump star Kimberly Williams recently sparked laughter and connection with fans through a playful  post.

‎Through her Instagram Story she posted;

‎“Don’t ask me if I wanna go out this Oct–Dec… just come get me.”

‎The light-hearted post gives fans a rare peek into the personality of the seasoned athlete, who is more often seen in high-stakes competition than joking about holiday plans.

‎Williams, born on November 3, 1988, has had a stellar career marked by consistent excellence. A former Florida State University athlete and four-time NCAA Champion, she is widely regarded as one of Jamaica’s greatest field athletes.

‎Williams won gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and is a multiple-time national champion. She also earned a silver medal at the 2018 World Indoor Championships. She represented Jamaica at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she competed in the women’s triple jump.

‎Her humorous Instagram post comes as the world edges toward the festive October–December season, a time when many unwind, celebrate, and connect with loved ones.

‎ For some, it’s also the season of romantic sparks and new beginnings. The Jamaican triple jumper  is married to a businessman named Dion Williams. They have been together for 16 years.

‎From a professional standpoint, this lighter part of the year makes perfect sense. The global athletics calendar typically slows down after major championships.

‎With the 2025 World Athletics Championships set for September in Tokyo and the Diamond League final scheduled for late August in Zürich, the final quarter of the year gives elite athletes time to rest, recover, and reset.

‎Williams’ story resonates not just for its humor, but because it reminds us that even top-tier athletes need—and deserve—a break. Her playful tone reflects the joy of taking a step back after months of intense training and competition.
