Shanghai/Keqiao Diamond League: Time and Place to Watch Christian Coleman in 2nd Diamond League Leg of 2025 as Sha’Carri Richardson Cheers Him On

Christian Coleman will be the star attraction in the men’s 100m event at the second leg of the 2025 Wanda Diamond League in Shanghai, and here’s how and where to catch all the action.

The 2019 World Champion will aim to redeem himself among a stacked field of 10 elite sprinters, with his girlfriend Sha’Carri Richardson cheering him on from the stands. The power couple of track and field will once again showcase their love and support as they arrive in style for the prestigious meet.

Coleman will face a stacked field that includes Kenya’s Ferdinand Omanyala, Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo, Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson, and Xiamen champion Akani Simbine of South Africa.

The Xiamen Diamond League offered Coleman a chance to reassert himself in a field missing big names like Noah Lyles, Fred Kerley, and Kishane Thompson. However, the two-time defending champion stumbled, finishing fourth (10.18s), well behind Simbine’s winning time of 9.99s.

Known for his explosive starts and his untouched world indoor 60m record (6.34s), Coleman remains a fan favorite. As he steps onto the Shanghai track, all eyes will be on whether he can reclaim his dominance against a new wave of sprinting talent.

After a mixed start to 2025—finishing third (10.06s) at the Tom Jones Memorial and helping Team USA to a 37.90s relay win—Coleman hopes to bounce back in Shanghai and set the tone for another strong Diamond League season.
