Alexis Holmes Poised for Breakout Performance at Grand Slam Track Miami

Alexis Holmes gears up for a major challenge at the Grand Slam Track Miami event, scheduled from May 2 to May 4, 2025. This competition marks the second stop in the inaugural Grand Slam Track series, a professional league designed to showcase elite sprint, hurdle, and distance running talent across four events in 2025.

A standout athlete in the long sprints category, Holmes will compete at the Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar, Florida, a venue known for hosting top-tier track meets. The Miami Slam promises high competition, featuring Olympic champions and world-class runners such as Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Gabby Thomas, and Andre De Grasse.

The event will unfold over three days, with athletes racing twice in their respective disciplines. Alexis Holmes will earn points in each race, with combined scores determining the overall standings. She will also have a chance to claim a $100,000 prize for each group.

Who Will Alexis Holmes Compete against in Miami

The Miami Slam schedule includes a range of events across sprint, hurdle, and distance categories. On May 2, the women’s short sprints, including the 100 meters, will kick off the competition, followed by other races such as the 400 meters and 400-meter hurdles. The subsequent days will feature events like the 200 meters, 400 meters hurdles, and middle-distance races, providing Alexis Holmes with multiple platforms to demonstrate her capabilities.

Grand Slam Track was founded by Olympic legend Michael Johnson, who serves as commissioner. Johnson aims to elevate track and field by creating a dynamic, fan-friendly series with substantial prize money. The event also offers contractual commitments for top athletes. Miami’s event also coincides with the F1 Miami Grand Prix, adding to the city’s vibrant sports atmosphere.
