The 2025 Diamond League season kicks off with its first leg  in Xiamen, China, where sprint superstar Christian Coleman will headline a star-studded men’s 100m race.

The American speedster, a two-time Diamond League champion, returns to the same track where he blazed to victory in 2023 with a stunning 9.83-second performance.

This year’s Xiamen Diamond League promises high-octane action as Coleman faces off against a fierce lineup including Akani Simbine from South Africa, Lestile Tebogo from the Bostwana, Ferdinand Omanyala from Kenya and Jeremiah Azu from Great Britain.

The 2019 World Champion and reigning world indoor sprint king Coleman, is looking to regain his peak form after a mixed start to the season. His 2025 campaign began with a third-place finish (10.06s) at the Tom Jones Memorial in Gainesville, followed by a strong relay performance (37.90s) with Team USA. Now, he returns to Xiamen, a venue that has been favorable to him, hoping to set the tone for another dominant Diamond League season.
