Kenya`s Fedinard Omanyala is expected to grace the Nyayo National World Athletics Relays trials, scheduled for April 12, 2025.
Ferdina Omanyala will compete against upcoming stars such as Dennis Mwai Wangui, Isaac Omurwa Kundu among others. The trials will act as selection ground for athletes in anticipatrion for upcoming World Athletics Relays. The relays are scheduled for May 10th to 11th in Guangzhou, China.
Recently, Omanyala kicked of his international season with a third place at the ASA Grand finish in South Africa,clocking 10.22 seconds, in the 100 meter race.
However, Omanyala remains focused on the building up momentum towards the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo. His participation in the trials will act as a partfom to help him secure a spot bin the relay team and continue his succesful career.
In 2021, Omanyala set African 100 meter persnal best of 9.79 seconds in Common Wealth Games. His recent perfomance , including a World leading record time of 9.79 seconds at the Kenya Olympic Trials, have demonstrated his potential to excel in relay events.
His particpatiuon in the Athletics Kenya, Wprld Athletics Relays Trils, will not only enhance his chamnces of competing at Gaunhgzou, but also provide him with an opprtunity to refine his skills, along side other athletes.
Additionally,Athletics Kenya have confirmed that, Utawala Star Sprints Club, will have an athlete in an international Athletics event, for the first time i n history.
Babu Meshack from Utawala Star Sprints Club, clocked his personal best of 10.0 seconds. He will be among athletes competing against Africa`s sprint sensation Ferdinad Omanyala. The event will act as a great cha nce to boost his ticket for World Athletics Chapionships.
The qualification standard for 100 meter is 10.00 seconds.

Athletics Kenya has also urged fans to grace the World Athletics Relays trials event since the entry is free.
