Grand Slam Track Prize Break Down

The Grand Slam Track prize is winding up in Kingston, Jamaica. Athletes are gearing up to take home a share of the massive prize pool, divided into eight tiers.

Here’s how the breakdown unfolds,

The champion will walk away with a Grand Slam Tack prize of  $100,000. This is the ultimate reward for those who dominate the competition, while the second-place finisher will secure $50,000.  

The third and the fourth-place winners will take home $30,000 and $ 25,000, respectively. A testament to their hard work and strategic gameplay. Meanwhile, the fifth and 6th placed finishers will earn $20,000. 

The seventh and eighth place finishers will receive $12,000, and $10,000 ensuring that everyone in the top tier is recognized.  

Moreover, this breakdown not only showcases the financial rewards but also emphasizes the competitive spirit of the Grand Slam  Track. 

In addition, each tier represents a milestone in the journey to the top, and every competitor has a chance to make their mark. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or an emerging talent, the Grand Slam offers an exciting opportunity to shine and take home a substantial prize.

Who are the $100,000 Winners?

Several athletes took home the top prize of $100,000 at the Grand Slam Track event.

British Olympic medallist Matthew Hudson-Smith won the 200m event and secured the overall title in the long sprints category. Expressing his excitement, Mathew said, “It’s fantastic to win the inaugural Grand Slam championship; I’m truly thrilled and thankful”

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, a four-time Olympic gold medalist, dominated the long hurdles category with victories in the 400m hurdles and 400m flat races. Her performance capped off the event, securing the top prize.

Olympic 200m gold medalist, Gabby Thomas, became one of the inaugural champions by winning the long sprint category. She noted her exhaustion but was motivated by the prize money, saying, “I heard them announce ‘$100K on the line’ during the final stretch, and it truly spurred me on”

In the short hurdles categories, Danielle Williams won the category, securing a $100,000 prize with a strong performance in the 100m dash

These athletes not only took home significant prizes but also set the stage for the rest of the Grand Slam Track series, which promises to be filled with thrilling competitions and substantial rewards. The next event is scheduled to take place in Miami from May 2 to May 4.

The competition is fierce, but the rewards are well worth the challenge. The Grand Slam series now heads to Miami.
